It is defined as one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03 pay band (GS-12/13 equivalent or higher) in the Federal Service, which includes the following: 1) Supporting DoD acquisition activities for medical products or medical countermeasures through product development and acquisition milestones; 2) Coordinating medical-product or medical-countermeasure development activities subject to FDA regulatory requirements to support program decisions; 3) Preparing acquisition-program briefings for senior leaders on product-development status, regulatory risks, or milestone decisions; and 4) Providing support to junior acquisition professionals, including coaching, mentoring and training. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-03)/GS-13.
