DoD has 79th Anniversary Ceremony to Honor D-Day Veterans

Service members and civilians honored D-Day veterans during 79th-anniversary ceremonies near Normandy, France. The ceremonies highlighted the efforts of the service members who scaled the cliffs at Normandy in 1944.

The Defense Department celebrates these heroes for their selfless service and sacrifice in the name of global peace and security.
