Key responsibilities may include: Performing responsible engineer activities, which include all aspects of fire protection system/component design and development including trade studies, layouts, architecture definition, system test & verification, and troubleshooting. These activities may also include participating on a subcontractor management team and will act as the technical point of contact with suppliers for hardware development, qualification, and procurement. Performing system related analysis, such as performance simulation, in support of the development of the fire protection subsystem including integration with other aircraft subsystems. Preferred

Qualifications: Master’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering with focus on thermodynamic, fluid mechanic and/or heat transfer disciplines

Experience with aircraft subsystem development, with

requirements definition, specification development, component analysis, procurement, source selection, integration and test and verification for advance aircraft.

Experience performing thermodynamic, fluid mechanic and/or heat transfer analysis related to military/commercial aircraft and subsystems

Experience modeling fluid systems utilizing Amesim, MATLAB/Simulink, Thermal Desktop, Flomaster, and/or STAR CCM software

Experience with the military airworthiness certification process using MIL HDBK 516

Experience interpreting component detail drawings, specifications, installation drawings, and test procedures

Experience in supporting pursuits and proposals, including generating, reviewing, and approving technical proposals and BOEs Demonstrated

experience in leadership related to integrated product teams, including supplier and customer (internal and external) relations #AS FA3 Primary Level

salary:Range: $118,600.00 $178,000.00 The above
