What You Will Get To Do: The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's International Trade Compliance organization, supporting the Land & Maritime Sensors portfolio, working to ensure compliance with export laws and internal processes that support foreign policy and protect national security.

Responsibilities Include: Develop and manage comprehensive internal export and import controls to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies in the conduct of international marketing, sales, supply chain and other business activities. Establish business processes for submitting to and obtaining from the US government all necessary export and import licenses, permits, certifications, and technology release determinations. Executes operational processes to ensure regulatory trade compliance through gate reviews of technical data, foreign travel, foreign visits and export and import shipments. Maintain applicable trade compliance records in accordance with regulatory requirements. Perform compliance assessments of transactions and support the law department in investigating and resolving compliance problems, questions, or complaints. Support performance metrics for export processes. Collaborate with various functional areas to develop and implement appropriate authorization strategies to meet business

Determine and validate appropriate commodity jurisdiction and classification when conducting the order of review to include applicability of formal Commodity Jurisdiction or CCATS submission. Independently assess complex transactions and determine applicability of internal gate reviews, licenses, exceptions, and exemptions. Assist in the review of export/import clauses in Statements of Work and Non Disclosure Agreements and provide recommendations regarding potential impact to business activity. Review and disposition public release requests. Perform compliance assessments of transactions as necessary for investigations of potential instances of non compliance. Assist in the development, revision, and implementation of trade compliance policies and procedures as necessary to support portfolio. Represent the organization as a prime contact on complex contracts or projects, internal working groups, and capture activities. Interact with senior internal and external personnel on high visibility matters often requiring coordination between organizations. Exercise good judgment of when to seek management support and guidance as needed, including collaborating on decisions which have the potential to be high visibility or impactful. Mentor junior level Analysts and Technical Advisors on export regulations and internal processes and procedures. Develop and deliver presentations, including Export General Awareness training, program/function specific export training, lessons learned, and program/capture export licensing strategy updates to Division leadership.
