What You Will Do Configure, manage and maintain Microsoft SQL, PostgreSQL and MySQL database servers in accordance with established best practices as applied for performance and security. May require off hour support Implement and maintain SQL server DISA STIGs Install, configure and integrate SQL servers and support dependent applications Management and validation of SQL Backups as well as restoral Build highly available server clusters Document, test and implement SQL server services Assess and evaluate current deployments providing recommendations for enhancements Develop and maintain standard operating procedures Create and defend system change requests Manage user requests for assistance, application installation and upgrades. Configuring and supporting security support infrastructure including backups, anti virus software, patch management and vulnerability scanning. Install and upgrade SQL server components, when possible supporting integration of automation processes Troubleshoot hardware and software errors, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues.
