Responsibilities Serve as subject matter expert on industrial hygiene topics. Using occupational hygiene concepts and best practices, evaluate and implement appropriate control measures for physical, chemical, radiation, noise, and other hazards. Understand and maintain a thorough knowledge of OSHA, NIOSH, ANSI, NFPA, and EPA regulations. Review and author safety data sheets (SDS) to develop worker protection plans. Develops, updates and conduct training for employees, such as new hire training. Support safety efforts through completion of job safety analyses (JSA), building inspection, and other safety duties as required. Support environmental programs and initiatives through efforts such as water sampling. Interact with regulators (EPA, MDE, etc.) as needed.
