Job Description:Peratonis seeking an experiencedsystemsHardwareEngineerto join our national intelligence program in Northern Virginia that delivers engineering, application development, deployment, operations, upgrades and sustainment of products and services to achieve our client’s global missions.Responsibilities:Design, develop, troubleshoot,maintainand improvethe clients’ server/compute platforms.Perform end-to-end network systems engineering, working with vendors.Identifyandmaintainrequirements to achieve mission needs, performing higher level network design and createPower Space and Cooling (PSC), Billof Material (BOM), Baseline Exception Requirements (BER) and other documentsrequiredtoprocureequipment.Create and design complex network core cabling integration and infrastructure cabling between racks, provide new configurations and changes to drafter and ensure all cabling drawing packages are 100curate.LeadintegrationeffortsofCisco, HP, Dell, IBM, and many other vendors of equipmentasrequired.Perform quality assurance on all systems procurement to make sure they pass build standards.Establish a process toformally and pro-actively control and manage changes to requirements, consider impacts prior to commitment to change, gain stakeholder buy-in, eliminate ambiguity, ensure traceability to source requirements, and track and settle open actions.Manage and ensure the technical integrity of the system baseline over time, continually updateit as various changes are imposed on the system during the life-cycle from development through deployment and operations & maintenance.Develop scenarios (threads) and an Operational Concept that describes the interactions between the system, the user, and the environment, that satisfies operational, support, maintenance, and disposalneeds.Establish and follow a formal procedure for coordinating system integration activities among multiple teams, ensuring complete coverage of all interfaces.Provide technical planning, system, integration, verification, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.Researchnew technologiesand get technical specifications.Keep up to date End of Sale, End of Support, and End of Life on various components.Provide and receive technical specifications to/from vendors that we go through.Receive and review quotes from vendors and resellers.Create rack elevations, floorplacementand build documents for vendors.Review drawing packages and provide red-lines to team members.Update build cable run lists documents and upload for team usage.Create and provide Cable BOM’s for manufactures and vendors, review quotes for accuracy.Develop,implementandmaintainprocesses, procedures, test cases, test results, issue resolutions, performance analysis, and user guidelines/ instructions documentation.**Position is Contingent on Contract Award**
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:Active Top Secret/ Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with ability to obtain a Poly clearance.Minimum of 8 years relevant experiencewith aBachelor’sdegree (Master’sdegree and 6 years of relevant experienceor PhD with 3 years relevant experienceor 12 years relevant experience with high school diploma).Proven work experience as hardware engineer performing design, testing and server/ compute platform analysis.Knowledge of computer hardware and its components.Proficiencyin hardware engineering tools.Proficiencyin documenting requirements and specifications.Certifications: IAT II, Security Desired Qualifications:Active TS/SCI with Poly Clearance.MastersDegree in Computer Science, Information Systems,orEngineering.Prior experience and or historical and institutional knowledge of the customer mission and programs and processes.SECURITY CLEARANCE:This Positionrequiresan Active TS/SCI and the ability to obtain a Poly, US Citizenship isrequiredTo hold this clearance.
