Job Description:Peraton is seeking an experiencedSystems Engineerto serve as theUser EndpointManagementLeadto join our national intelligence program that deliversinfrastructureengineering/development,infrastructureoperations,deployment,upgrades andsustainment of products and services to achieve our client’s global Enterprise IT Infrastructure missions.Responsibilities:Usea holistic approachtodesign, develop, evaluate, andmodifyend-to-end systems and systems-oriented products through their entire life cyclewith an emphasis on the end user experience.Manage, secure,andoptimizedesktops, laptops,and mobiledeviceswhile ensuring compliance with IT and security policies.Install,configureandmaintaindesktops, laptops,and devices, ensuring proper integrationwith enterprise systems and cloud services.Implement andmanage endpoint security solutions, including antivirus, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and data loss prevention (DLP) tools to protect sensitive information.Continuouslymonitorendpoints for vulnerabilities, respond to security incidents, and collaborate with cybersecurity teams to mitigate risks.Deploy software updates, patches, and OS upgrades tomaintainsystem stability and security.Create andmaintaintechnical documentation, operational runbooks, and security policies for end-users and IT teams.Research and recommend new endpoint management and security technologies to enhance organizational IT infrastructure.Develop, analyze, andmaintaintools that support and automate processes for hardware or software product release.Write installation scripts and programs for installation of products.Work with project teams to determineappropriate buildschedules and theninitiatethe build and packaging process.Compile and assemble software from source code.Ensure tools are stored in source control.Support developers for software package registry and delivery.Work with others to complete analysis, evaluations, and design alternatives and to implement process improvements.Work with development engineers to correct build errors.Manage source code repositories and ensure adherence to version control best practices.Automate the software build, test, and deployment processes to enable continuous integration and continuous delivery.Design and implement release pipelines to ensure smooth and reliable software rollouts.Train and mentor team members on the software build and continuous integration process and tools.Support new application features andmaintainenvironments.Serve as gatekeeper, ensuring that code transitions smoothly from development to operational environments, whilemaintainingconfiguration control,integrityand reliability of the product.Work jointly with engineering,operationsand quality assurance to ensure that software builds are created, tested, and deployed efficiently and reliably to meet schedules and dependency requirements.Maintaindocumentation related to release procedures, configurations, and modifications.Develop and enforce policies for hotfixes and emergency releases.Track and report on release metrics to assess performance andidentifyareas for improvement.Facilitate communication across teams and stakeholders to keep everyone informed about release statuses and timelines.Manage environment configurations, including deployment and rollback procedures for multiple environments.Stay current with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to continuously refine and improve the release process.Serve as the Technical Team Lead for User EndpointManagementTravel: Travel may be required within the National Capital Region (NCR) on an as needed basis for customer or corporate requirements.**** Please Note this is for a proposal effort ****
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:Active Top Secret/ Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with ability to pass and obtain a Poly clearance.Minimum of12years relevant experience with aBachelor’sdegree (Master’sdegree and10years of relevant experience or PhD with7years relevant experience).4 years experience may be substituted in lieu of a Degree.Proficiencyin endpoint management.Understanding of endpoint security technologies.Strong skills in PowerShell or Shell scripting for automation and system optimization.Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and IT teams.Technical team leadershipcapabilities.Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to customers and senior leaders.CISSP or Security Certification.Preferred Qualifications:Active TS/SCI with Poly clearances.CEH, GIAC, or MicrosoftCertifications.Deep understanding of infrastructure as code principles and the use of technologies such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or Salt.Knowledge of Apache web server administration.Knowledge of identity management solutions such as Oracle IAM or RH-SSO (Keycloak) is a plus.Experience with load balancing technologies such as HA Proxy is a plus.Experience with CI/CD pipelinesutilizingJenkins is a plus.Experience with CI/CD pipelinesutilizingJenkins is a plus.Familiarity with container orchestration and VMWare is a plus.SECURITY CLEARANCE:This Position requires an Active TS/SCI and the ability to obtain aPoly,US Citizenshipis required tohold this clearance.
