In addition to the basic education requirement: FOR THE NT-04: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-03 (GS-09/10 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a Contracting Officer or Contract Specialist soliciting, evaluating, negotiating, awarding, or overseeing contracts for the acquisition or procurement of equipment, supplies, or services. Examples of specialized experience may include: evaluating a contractor's capabilities; recommending an acquisition strategy; conducting contract negotiations; analyzing contract charges or costs to determine appropriateness or reasonableness; facilitating contract changes through the lifecycle of an acquisition. FOR THE NT-03: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-02 (GS-05/08 equivalent) as a Contracting Officer or Contract Specialist assisting higher graded specialists with soliciting, evaluating, negotiating, awarding, or overseeing contracts for the acquisition or procurement of equipment, supplies, or services. Examples of specialized experience may include: drafting contract documents; observing or assisting with contract negotiations; reviewing contract charges or costs; implementing contract document changes through the lifecycle of an acquisition. The selectee for this position serves as an Administrative/Technical Specialist for NSWC Panama City, FL. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. NT-02 is equivalent to GS-05/08. NT-03 is equivalent to GS-09/10. NT-04 is equivalent to GS-11/12. Salary Ranges: NT-02: $40,736 - $72,644; NT-03: $ 61,722 - $88,356; NT-04: $74,678 - $116,362. This announcement uses the STRL-Mission Support direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled.
