The Lockheed Martin Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) team is seeking an experienced Performance Analysis Engineer to be part of a team developing missile defense technology that could forever change our ability to deter and respond to adversity.
As the Performance Analysis Manager on the NGI program you will be part of the Systems Engineering leadership team.
In this role, you will:

• Lead the definition of missile defense scenarios

• Execute medium or high-fidelity digital system simulation tools

• Execute and analyze performance with component stand-alone simulation tools

• Create, update, and execute scripts to process data output

• Lead the analysis of weapon system performance data for current or future capabilities

• Analyze and provide recommendations to models and key system algorithms

• Perform flight test pre- and post-mission analysis

• Provide analysis recommendations to system level design reviews

• Work across the organization and customer/user community to ensure consensus and understanding of system performance and trades

• Document and brief analysis results to leadership/customer

Basic Qualifications

• Previous technical leadership in system analysis or flight sciences roles on missile development or space hardware programs

• Previous responsibility for cost, schedule, and technical contract scope on a missile or space hardware development program

• Experience leading technical teams through major system design reviews

• Active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance; US citizenship is required

Desired Skills

• Previous experience in requirements development and weapon system design for missile development program or similar.

• Previous experience in leading system analysis efforts including finite element, thermal, separation dynamics, system behavioral modeling, aerodynamic, or similar.

• Deep knowledge in System Modeling & Simulation and Flight Sciences as well as Verification & Validation.

• Recent Experience utilizing Scaled Agile Framework or similar on new missile or space hardware development program.

• Demonstrated experience in utilizing lessons learned from previous development efforts and adapting those to current efforts.

• Demonstrated experience in collaborating across an organizational enterprise and leveraging relationships to produce positive outcomes for multiple stakeholder teams.
