Standard Job Description

The Product Line Lead (PLL) functions as the “mini‑project manager” for a specific product line, owning end‑to‑end execution of that line’s scope, schedule, cost, and performance within the larger program. Acting as the single point of accountability, the PLL coordinates cross‑functional teams, manages stakeholder expectations, and drives delivery of high‑quality, on‑time, and on‑budget product solutions that meet the Navy customer’s requirements.

Directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organizing, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Plans and formulates engineering program and organizes project staff according to requirements. Assigns project personnel to specific phases or aspects of project. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/combined education
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance, thus a US Citizen.

Desired Skills

- Deep understanding of the product line's technology and system architecture. 
- Experience leading and growing a team, including mentorship of junior staff. 
- Proven track record or identifying and mitigating issues, weighing cost, scheudle and technical. 
- Demonstrated skill in developing bottom-up cost estimates (labor, material, subcontractors), and managing accounts using EVM. 
- High-pressure resilience and ability to lead a team in meeting agressive timelines. 
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
