How Users Opt In

Job seekers may opt in to receive SMS messages from Cleared Careers when registering for a hiring event on ClearedCareers.com. During registration, the job seeker enters their mobile phone number and may choose to receive SMS messages by checking an unchecked SMS consent checkbox. The checkbox is not pre-selected.

SMS messages may include hiring event registration confirmations, event reminders, check-in instructions, event updates, job-seeker account notifications, links to event details, maps, directions, registration pages, or account pages.

The following consent language is displayed immediately next to the SMS consent checkbox before the user provides consent:

The SMS consent checkbox is unchecked by default and must be affirmatively selected by the user.
