Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) Controlling access of vehicles, visitors and/or pedestrians into a facility; (2) Monitoring systems for visitor entry into a facility; and (3) Providing professional customer service to a broad range of individuals such as: visitors, employees, and/or contractors. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).

Conditions Of Employment Continued: The duties of this position meet the criteria for compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs. Detection of the presence of drugs is warranted. This position is subject to pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident. IAW AR 190-56, requirements of Individual Reliability Program apply. Incumbent must be proficient in the use of assigned firearms/weapons, pass an initial qualification, and must qualify semi-annually thereafter in the use of assigned firearms/weapons. All weapons training and qualifications will be conducted IAW AR 190-56 "The Army Civilian Police and Security Guard Program". Incumbent will be required to maintain physical conditioning and pass an annual physical agility test (PAT). Failure to meet the PAT requirements as outline is Army Regulation 190-56 "The Army Civilian Police and Security Guard Program". Failure to meet the standards after the second attempt within a ninety-day period will result in separation. Incumbent must successfully complete security guard training. Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. This position requires a 1 year probationary period during which the agency evaluates your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest.
