Who We Are

Infinity Labs is an innovation-focused company with expertise in modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A), research and development (R&D), cyber operational technology, and training. Our project portfolio is exceptionally broad and encompasses a wide spectrum of physical scale and applications (e.g., materials, components, subsystems, platforms, and system of systems). We integrate science and systems as part of our overall solutioning approach, and we investigate advanced concepts and technologies with disruptive application potential. What You Will Do:

You will work alongside professional engineers and scientists with various backgrounds and areas of expertise. Much of our work involves the use of or integration with the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM). You will support the design, implementation, and testing of digital models, simulation frameworks, and analysis tools for various government programs, commercial industry partnerships, and internal research and development efforts. In the process, you will develop an understanding of the modeling & simulation pyramid and how the different levels are connected.

You will learn and grow professionally, with the opportunity to gain real-world experience and help solve challenging problems. This is an opportunity to witness and contribute to the most advanced digital simulation tools that are being used to inform decisions at the highest level of the DoW. You will get to see how your academic knowledge is applied to projects in an operational environment.

To thrive on our team, you should: 

• Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and a passion for learning and improving your skills.
• Be familiar with object-oriented programming principles and associated languages (e.g., C++, Python).
• Be familiar with statistical analysis tools (e.g., R, JMP, Excel, etc.)
• Welcome the use of advanced mathematics combined with software development.
• Be comfortable as a domain visitor, able to comprehend the operations/performance of complex systems at a semi-technical level.

Education/Credentials:

• Current enrollment in a 4 year or longer STEM degree program
  • Preferred: Entering junior year or later at the time of the internship
  • Preferred majors include: Mechanical/Electrical/Computer/Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or Mathematics
• US Citizenship is required for consideration, as this job requires the ability to obtain a US government security clearance. 
  • Nice to have - Secret level clearance
  • Acceptable - No current clearance but eligibility to obtain

Work Environment:

This position will be located on-site throughout the summer in an office building. We provide free parking, complimentary snacks and beverages, and a newly renovated central office location in Downtown Dayton.
